I really like the music and aesthetics of the game! I love how different this is and it kinda reminds me of the early dungeon crawlers (The Elder Scrolls). I got lost and couldn't solve the maze though :/

We're glad you liked it =D!!!

This game is a lot of fun! I really like it =D

This is my favorite game in the jam so far. The soundtrack is an absolute banger!!! I love this so much!!! The lore, the graphics, the combat system, everything is awesome! I can't believe this was made in the same 10 days as we worked on our project!!! I'm gonna actually go on and finish the game over the next few days lol

based off of the other sounds, I think you’ll do a great job ☺️. It must’ve been a time crunch so it’s understandable :) I really like what you’ve made though! Very simple, snappy and elegant (in all the good ways).

It took me a while to figure that out but I really like that too!

I like the theme and idea of the project. The music is charming too ^_^. I did find it a bit too hard though; couldn't tell when the obstacles were approaching (need more of a heads up otherwise it just feels unfair)

I really like the theme of the game and the gameplay! The SFX are great but a background score would work wonders for it!!!

Wow. I'm gonna try to get the non-materialistic ending now! Always am a sucker for good mysticism (I should incorporate more of that in my projects!). I was made aware of the rabbit-mallet new moon due to my playthrough of Harvest Moon years ago! (I was a kid in India back then). The alt. ending adds a lot to an already endearing game! Thank you and your team for making such a lovely product! =D

OMG Nooooooo I really did think it was that easy (not even kidding; I am gullible when it comes to cooking)

Thank you!!! We’re glad you liked it ☺️☺️☺️

No worries! It happens :) would love to check it out once you upload it ^_^

Hey, can you make this available for download? I really like the game but wanna play it locally

Hey, Thanks for the feedback! Yes I agree on the animations (we barely got the ones that we have in lol). As for the softlock; I just noticed that today too. It connects back to the east of the base if you cross THAT river intersection successfully (I know it's not a solution but it'd be the same path if you go through the base to the east). I'd suggest going north from the eastern side since it's a smoother flow :)

Thanks for playing it! =D

even though it's not for me/my type of game, it is VERY well done and packs a lot of content and shows an attention to detail! Great job on this! :claps:

Hey, I really liked the graphics of this project but this happens it game jams! especially the first few times :). Don't beat yourself over it as it's a part of the process. Your story is really similar to what we were doing with our project lol (albeit in a top-down format with subversive themes for the narrative)

(1 edit)

I like it but am kinda lost in the narrative. Also, pro-tip: use the avatars in GB Studio dialogue boxes! (I figured out how to use them on the last day lol).

I don't... like royalty and the knight-soldier stories so it's not really my kinda story BUT, I am curious, have you read Izumi Suzuki's works? Some of the terms in your game are direct references to names used in some of her stories! =D

I really like the fact that I can interact with everything! That is hard to do!

hey! no worries. Was just confirming if it’s in error :) will try to run it and give it a shot

can’t wait for that!!! 🔥🔥🔥

I love how meta this game is! The colors palette is nicely picked and the spites are intentionally designed to fit the theme! It is amazing how you managed to pack so much content within this game!

(1 edit)

yooo I dig the theme! Love the sprites and the music track is a banger! I had the same idea at some point for another game jam tho lol. Also.... NO NOT THE CAT PICS!!!!!

I did find the game a bit too hard too fast for my taste though (I get that it's a bullet hell but I've ended enter the gungeon and the SNES ninja gaiden; this just felt a lot harder!)

I really like the sprites and the music is really good too! I feel like the monster is broken though since it doesn't do any damage (or it's just extremely bad at aiming). The monster not being able to do that takes away from the paranoia/scare. I wasn't able to find 1 part despite going through the loop twice! :(

I love wholesome games like this! I would honestly pay for games like this! The art, music and gameplay are all so refreshing and fun! Imma go try to make ginger milk now.

The game is a bit too hard to play and get a hang of. I really like the music, graphics and color palette chosen but feel like not being able to go full screen or increase the screen size takes away from the experience.

Lol I really like this game. Where did you even get these ideas?! It is exactly how I think when I'm confronted with mundane events in a monotonous environment! Also, really cool shadows and visual FX; I did find some of the areas a bit too tight for messing with stuff but it's a game jam game. It is astonishing that you got this quality in your project in the first place!!! Loved it =D

Love the game and it's colors! I couldn't finish it because it gets hella intense towards the end BUT, I did get to the graphics switch and love how everything blends with the music!!!! It is VERY impressive that you got the gravity physx to work like that in a GB game!

Glad you enjoyed the game! It brings us a lot of joy that we were able to communicate that 'vibe' with the player. It is exactly what we were going for. The puzzle is good BUT, did you find the alt. ending? (00

It popped up as a low risk malware file on windows defender? it says the PUA builder is a malicious file. Chrome kinda hinted at that too. Could you let me know if it's built using a specific engine so that I could look into it?

Hi Clark!
We’re glad you enjoyed it! The creepy vibes are intentional and you most certainly are NOT welcome. We tried to be subversive with our game and its expectations. There IS another ending, I’d love to see if anyone can figure it out 👀.  We have some clues as to what the game is truly about and what the message is; the other ending sorta elaborates on that better. You really have to think outside of the box for the other ending but we’ve put some structural hints in there to help players piece it together.

As for the bugs, there are a couple and we were developing the game right until the 4AM deadline. Did you find anything game breaking in there? Please let us know so we can debug and repost it :)

Whoever drew the sprites and did the music did an excellent job! My health dropped down to 0 and I didn't die (might be a bug; I'm kinda glad I didn't die tho). I feel like there needs to be a cancel button since I mistakenly chose attack sometimes but 'B' didn't make it go back. The spaceman, music, aesthetics and overall vibe of the game make me wish for a fuller game tho! Would love to know if you end up adding more to this! =D

Hey, I'm getting an error on load too. The error I'm getting is "Failed to load mono"

Excellent palette, sound design and UI! The gameplay is very simple but it IS a game jam game so overall, it is amazing! I like the enemy sprite diversity, the theme, and everything! =D

I love the charm that this game oozes. Loved the animations, sounds, the narrative and the lil 'A' popups! It is so cute! the art is good too!!!! Congrats on getting this in! It's not easy (trust me, I know lol)

I really dig the sound effects and the general vibe of the game. I don't understand how the intro scene ties to the game though. That and the alien ship's movements/combat are kinda erratic/hard to understand. Overall, great aesthetic and visuals!

That would be the work of our resident artist, Mr. Pergerson!

Hi Tompson! Thanks for the feedback. It’s valid and definitely was a concern during development. We improved the map design but agree that it could be a bit more engaging in some areas.

about Hazel… you might wanna give it another shot… there’s uh… mechanics still there that are worth exploring 👀 [I know people skip past that but communication is key in this game]

P.S. in some areas… getting lost is intentional👀👀👀

Love the game! I've never plaid the original Starfox but the references are great, the sound, art and aesthetic of the game are amazing! I was already sold on this game based on the music score and pixel portraits alone though =D

Hey I really like everything about this but can't figure out the numbers. (I think it's a bit buggy too; the unicorns keep on freezing and I don't get it. I do enjoy interacting with the environment though! The chatbot gets repetitive after a while but is amusing for a lot longer than I'd expect!). 10/10 for aesthetics and art :)))
